“Flags of War” at the Virginia War Museum

This unique temporary exhibit will display the flags of all of Virginia’s units that served overseas in the great war, to include units of the 29th, 42nd, 80th Divisions and African American units as well. On Nov 11th the Museum will conduct a unique living history event with members of the Great War Association in conjunction with the opening of the temporary exhibit.

Mariners’ Museum WWI Exhibit: Answering America’s Call

“Newport News Port of Embarkation in WWI” at Virginia War Museum

This exhibit in conjunction with our regular Hampton Roads Port of Embarkation exhibit looks at Newport News as a port of Embarkation during the war utilizing one-of-a-kind maps of Newport News and photographs from the Museum archives, this is the perfect place to orient yourself for a tour of WWI Newport News.
